About Bluebell A1 Quilting
Bluebell A1 Quilting started as a hobby which has now become a passionate pastime and business.
I started making quilts in my spare time, attending classes and quilt sewing groups. This quickly grew to all members of my family being presented with quilts. I realised I wanted to extend my knowledge of quilting and progress to quilting tops for myself and others.
I purchased my first longarm machine in June 2008. Not long after that, I outgrew quilting inside my house and built a studio ‘out the back’ to house my machines, fabrics and handmade artwork. I then upgraded my longarm quilting machine and currently operate an A1 Quilting Machine and the computerised Intelliquilter.
I continue to make quilts, but also offer longarm machine quilting services to others. I now sell quilts and other items such as fabrics and accessories. The main focus of my business is to manufacture quilts for sale and to provide a professional quilting service to my customers. A number of customer’s quilts have been exhibited and won prizes in regional shows. Some have been featured in quilting magazines, including Homespun Magazine.
Many of my quilts have been purchased by customers for personal use and as gifts for friends and relatives. They now grace homes across Australia and overseas countries including Austria, Canada, China, UK, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Samoa, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey and USA.
I have built a good rapport with my quilting customers and those who have purchased quilts as personal items or gifts.
